Iron Clad's Grandma's Hands Oven Mitt

NZ$49.00

Two words. Oven. Mitt.

Oh, and two more words. Grandma’s. Hands.

Grandma’s Hands are our new range of New Zealand made oven-mitts. Designed by Ironclad and hand-made by some of our friends in Wellington, Grandma’s Hands are 100% cotton and made to last.

The cotton lining used is a natural unbleached and undyed Cotton Duck. Duck fabric is made by weaving with two yarns together in the warp and a single yarn in the weft.

Weally?

Yes.

It’s a great material as it’s very comfy, long lasting, and durable. Inside, the thick quilt lining makes them well insulated and soft to wear. Outside, we have two fabrics.

Bull Denim is 100% cotton and is constructed with a 3x1 twill, creating a soft durable material that will hold up to everyday use.

Black Cotton Drill is 100% cotton and is a stout durable fabric with a strong bias (diagonal) in the weave.

Grandma’s Hands are hand-made in small runs right here in New Zealand. So if you miss out this release, don’t worry. Just let us know you’d like one and we’ll get sewing.

At Ironclad we try to make products that people need, in quantities people need them. That’s to avoid the waste that comes from low-cost mass-run commercial manufacturing. While making products to order may not be economically savvy, it is environmentally friendly. And that’s important to us.
